We've read all the websites, done all the homework, signed all the petitions, made the phone calls, etc... now we are going face to face with the Board of Supervisors next week as they seek to rubberstamp their decision to buy Diebold Accu-Vote equipment for our county. As some of you know, Secretary of State Shelley is receiving kudos for putting in place a requirement for VoterVerifiedPaperAuditTrail , but of course it isn't going to happen until WAYYYY late (2005/2006, depending if you've bought already or are about to buy).
So our fearless band of activists is going to put in our two cents, and what I wanted to know is, does anyone have suggestions for the signs we want to hold? One idea so far: "Diebold or Democracy" was kinda cool. Good quotes are welcome, like something about keeping the vote in the hands of the people (was it Jefferson?)...
